Alexey Miller, who has been heading a monopolist company in the gas market for more than 20 years, has become a Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation.
By decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, was awarded the title of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation.
On Thursday, January 20, this document was published on the official portal of legal information of the Russian Federation.
Putin’s decree notes that the head of Gazprom was awarded this title for “special labor services to the state and the people.”
The title of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation, along with the title of Hero of the Russian Federation, is the highest state award in Russia.
It is known that Alexey Miller was born in 1962 in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), on January 31 he will be 60 years old. He received his higher education at the Leningrad Financial and Economic Institute named after N. A. Voznesensky, has a PhD in Economics. Since 2001, he has been Chairman of the Gazprom Management Board, and since 2002, Deputy Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.
