Putin named those responsible for the outbreak of a dangerous disease in the Russian Federation: Ukrainians and chicken eggs

According to Rospotrebnadzor, the incidence of measles in Russia has increased almost 300 times this year.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called The reason for the sharp jump in measles incidence in Russia is the arrival in the aggressor country of “a large number of Ukrainian citizens” who allegedly do not have proper immune protection. He also acknowledged the shortage of the vaccine due to the insufficient amount of raw materials for its production – chicken eggs.

The owner of the Kremlin shared such nonsense during a direct line with the Russians, reports The Moscow Times.

According to Putin, outbreaks of measles “are observed throughout the world once every four years” and they are “associated with low immunization in the countries from which labor migrants come.”

“In Ukraine, immunization was low. This is problem. Millions of people have moved to us from Ukraine,” said the president of the aggressor state.

At the same time, Putin admitted a “technical failure” due to which Russia had a shortage of measles and rubella vaccines.

“This is connected, oddly enough, with the egg. The raw material for the measles vaccine is chicken eggs. The main thing is that there is a sufficient quantity and of the required quality. This was not done in a timely manner,” noted the owner of the Kremlin.

The President of the Russian Federation also admitted that the departure of a number of foreign pharmaceutical companies from the Russian market has become a problem and assured that the Russian industry is engaged in “import substitution”.

Why the incidence of measles has actually increased in the Russian Federation

According to Rospotrebnadzor, the incidence of measles in Russia in January-September 2023 increased compared to the same period last year by 288 times, or by 28,732% – up to 8073 cases.

The incidence rates have doubled the previous “record”, which was set in 2019 – then about 4 thousand cases were recorded.

Infectious disease doctor Valentin Kovalev, who works as the head of one of the federal medical centers, claims that the sharp increase in the incidence of measles in Russia is associated with interruptions in the supply of vaccines that began in the spring of 2023.

Russian doctors do not see prospects for reducing the incidence of measles in the near future. The number of infected people will grow until all unvaccinated people are ill, Kovalev noted.

Recall that earlier in the Mongolian region of Zavkhan on the border with the Russian Federation, a dead marmot was found to contain the pathogen of tambourine plague.
