The master of the Kremlin will not entrust nuclear weapons to Lukashenka, they will be under the control of the Russian military space forces.
Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin are interested in deploying tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of the satellite country of the Russian Federation.
Belarusian opposition leader and Minister of Culture of Belarus in 2009-2012. Pavel Latushko mentioned signs of such intentions in an interview with Radio NV.
“We have insiders, confirmed from several sources, that officers of the rocket and artillery troops of Belarus traveled to the Russian Federation to warehouses and parts of the storage of tactical nuclear weapons, studied logistics, transportation. This week, exercises of chemical radiation protection troops took place on the territory Belarus. Why is all this happening? One of the elements is the preparation and deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus,” he said.
The Belarusian oppositionist also recalled the statements of the leaders of the two dictatorial regimes about the modernization of SU-25 bombers capable of carrying tactical nuclear weapons, and that dual-purpose Iskanders have already entered combat duty in Belarus.
“All this suggests that in fact it remains to take one step, one pressure and nuclear tactical weapons will be deployed on the territory of Belarus,” Latushko emphasized.
The Belarusian oppositionist specified that Putin would not entrust Lukashenka with nuclear weapons, but only will place it on the territory of Belarus and “it will be under the control of the Russian military space forces, nuclear deterrence forces.”
Latushko also noted that Lukashenka does not object to the deployment of nuclear weapons, because he believes that this will increase his rating guarantees lifelong power.
At the same time, the former Belarusian official stressed that nuclear weapons in Belarus pose an additional threat not only to Ukraine, but also to Western Europe .
Recall that Russian political scientist Andrei Piontkovsky believes that Putin is drawing Alexander Lukashenko into nuclear blackmail, and that is why the head of the Russian Federation flew to Minsk.
