The head of Belarus does not decide anything, the political scientist is sure.
Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Ukraine has accumulated troops on the border with Belarus, because they think that Russia will again go through the territory of Belarus to them. In doing so, he admitted that there was aggression through the territory of Belarus.
Political scientist Valery Dymov said this in a conversation with “24 Kanal” with reference to Lukashenko's interview with the propaganda publication.
Against the backdrop of what Lukashenko called the events in Kursk region, “the escalation of Ukraine” and “attempts to push Moscow to asymmetric actions,” such as the use of nuclear weapons, the head of Belarus probably really was afraid that something could threaten him.
“At the same time, he himself does not decide anything, because he is led by Vladimir Putin, who, by the way, could have recently increased the pressure on Lukashenko… He speaks paranoidly. Like, he could transfer a third of the troops to the border with Ukraine. What third? From what troops?” โ I know perfectly well what the situation is in Belarus. Not only did Russia take out equipment and ammunition from there, but now Belarus is giving them everything directly from the military units.
Meanwhile, the Belarusian dictator is still trying to intimidate the community. He also stated that Russia, “if anything, will help him.”
“However, this also sounds comical, because the Kremlin cannot even cope with its own territory, part of which is already controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the expert added.
Earlier, TSN.ua reported that Lukashenko called on Ukraine and the Russian Federation to sit down at the negotiating table. An expert explained what this statement actually means.
