Russian dictator Putin worries that not all elites in Russia support the war in Ukraine. Therefore, he is preparing to gain support through intimidation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is concerned about the lack of support for the war in Ukraine among the elites. Therefore, it creates information conditions for the nationalization of their property.
This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
During a television interview about the mood of Russians about the war in Ukraine, Putin said that in Russia there are people who act solely in their own interests. He added that allegedly “99.9% of Russians would sacrifice everything for the sake of their homeland.”
Such criticism by some members of society suggests that Putin is focused on those who do not fully support the war, instead of supporters, ISW says.
The Institute for the Study of War suggests that such statements by the Russian dictator are the basis of future law The State Duma of the Russian Federation on the level of taxes for those Russians who left the country after the start of a full-scale war.
So, last week, the head of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin, proposed raising taxes for Russians who fled the country. Like, those who “understood their mistake” have already returned to the Russian Federation, and the rest are traitors.
Recall that the speaker of the Russian dictator Putin, Dmitry Peskov, commented on the peace initiatives of President Zelensky and said that Russia would continue a genocidal war, as this indicates “common sense”.
At the same time, the head of the French parliament's committee on national defense and the armed forces, Thomas Gasilud, believes that the Putin regime is playing for survival. The dictator is well aware that defeat is inevitable, and his inner circle has long understood the collapse of his regime.
