Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to continue payments to doctors who work with patients with coronavirus. They will also receive double salaries for their work on New Year's holidays, RIA Novosti reports.
Putin also ordered to establish for doctors and workers in contact with patients with coronavirus, the payment of special social benefits doubled for work on weekends and holidays from December 31 to January 9. It is necessary to report on the execution of the order by December 30. Responsible on behalf of the appointed Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin and the heads of the regions.
Earlier, the Ministry of Labor proposed to extend the payment regime for physicians working in the area of direct contact with patients with coronavirus until the end of 2022. The department's intention to extend payments to health workers until 2023 became known in early October. For these needs, the government, on behalf of the President of the country, will send 69 billion rubles to the regions. The funds will be allocated from the government reserve fund.
