Western countries must immediately give Moscow security guarantees, the further development of the situation in the international arena will depend on this. This was demanded by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the annual large press conference, which is broadcast on YouTube by TASS.

The Russian leader said that it is not the course of negotiations on this issue that is important to Moscow, but their result. “You demand from me some guarantees, but you must give them to us immediately, now,” he stressed, addressing a journalist from Great Britain.

Putin noted that Western countries should not continue to chatter the international community for decades and carry out their political plans “under a soft talk” about the need to ensure security for all.

Earlier, the Russian president said that encircling Russian territory is a difficult task, but modern military means allow one to think about it. He noted that new weapons systems are being installed in the east, south, north, and even more so in the west.
