In Lithuania, the Russian dictator is not considered generous.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said that in the war against Ukraine, the Kremlin needs far from a ceasefire, but rather strengthening.

The diplomat expressed this opinion on his Twitter.

“Putin claims that he wants negotiations not because he is generous, but because he is losing. We need to increase the fire, not cease fire,” Landsbergis said in the message.

Putin's “Christmas truce”

On January 5, the dictator Putin ordered the Ministry of Defense to cease fire along the entire line of confrontation at Christmas. The Kremlin appealed to Ukraine to also declare a ceasefire on holidays.

The head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Shoigu , announced an alleged “36-hour ceasefire in Ukraine.” It was supposed to last from 12:00 on January 6 to 24:00 on January 7.

However, the Russian Federation violated the so-called “Christmas truce” taken upon itself. The Pentagon stated the violation of the “truce” by the Russian Federation.

By the way, on January 6, the occupiers fired almost 40 times on the Kherson region alone. The Russian army attacked peaceful settlements with artillery, MLRS, mortars and tanks. One lifeguard died.
