The commander of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces assured the master of the Kremlin that there are no analogues to this missile in the world.
On Friday, November 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the serial production of the Oreshnik ballistic missiles at a meeting with military leadership. According to Putin, it was this missile that was used the day before during the attack on the Ukrainian city of Dnepr.

At the same time, the Russian president insistently assured that the Oreshnik is not a strategic weapon.
“In fact, the Oreshnik system is not a strategic weapon, at least it is not an intercontinental ballistic missile, and is not a means of mass destruction, including because it is also a high-precision weapon,” Putin said.
According to him, the decision on serial production of the system has already been made.
“It is necessary establish serial production, we will consider that the decision on serial production of this system has been made. Yes, in fact, it has practically been organized,” he added.
The president of the aggressor state stated that the Oreshnik missile is not a modernization of old Soviet systems, but a modern, cutting-edge development. According to him, several more similar systems are currently being tested in Russia.
“The Russian Federation is working on a whole line of medium- and shorter-range missiles. While several more Russian INF systems are undergoing tests, they are also planned for serial production,” the Russian president added.
Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces Sergei Karakayev assured Putin that the Oreshnik can hit targets throughout Europe, and the missile's technical equipment allows it to overcome all existing and prospective missile defense systems.
“The Oreshnik missile system has no analogues in the world,” the Strategic Missile Forces commander traditionally reported.
