The Kremlin said that Putin has not yet officially nominated his candidacy for the upcoming presidential elections.
The Kremlin commented on the possible participation of the current president-dictator of Russia Vladimir Putin in the upcoming elections scheduled for 2024.
Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov made a statement, Russian propagandists report.
“Putin has not yet announced that he will nominate himself, but if he nominates him, no one will be able to compete with him,” Peskov said.
We would like to add that the presidential elections in Russia will take place in 2024, according to the electoral legislation of the Russian Federation, are expected on Sunday, March 17, 2024. According to paragraph 3 of Article 81 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the same person cannot be the President of the Russian Federation for more than two consecutive terms. However, Putin can amend the Constitution to take a different position in power, and then run for office, as he did in 2008.
Recall, as the Wall Street Journal writes, Putin is trying to return his “tame” to the Russian Federation killer.
