Joint training of the army units of Russia and Belarus is scheduled for early 2022.
On Wednesday, December 29, during talks in St. Petersburg between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, a preliminary agreement was confirmed to hold Russian-Belarusian military exercises.
< p> According to the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, joint training of the army units of the two countries will take place in February-March 2022 in Belarus.
During the meeting, Lukashenko asked Putin to conduct more exercises in Belarus. Such interaction between the armies, in his opinion, should be beneficial in the relations of these states.
“As you suggested, we will hold it at the beginning of the year. In February or March. I do not know when they will decide there.” – Putin assured the Belarusian leader.
Let us remind you that the previously self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that in the event that “Russia faces the aggression of Ukraine,” Belarus will take the side of Moscow.
