Kremlin press service: Putin and Egyptian President discussed the creation of an industrial zone near the Suez Canal

On Saturday, December 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Egyptian counterpart Abdul-Fattah Khalil Al-Sisi held a telephone call. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
During the conversation, the leaders of the countries highly appreciated the level of bilateral cooperation in various fields. In particular, they discussed the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Egypt “El-Dabaa” and the creation of a Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal region. It is noted that Egypt will take part as a guest country in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2022.
Also, Putin and Al-Sisi wished each other a Happy New Year.
Earlier, the Russian leader held telephone talks with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic.
