Путин и дети: диктатор призвал россиян больше рожать

The head of the Kremlin believes that having many children should become a way of life in Russia.

Russians need to “revive the tradition of large families,” says Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, his country faces “complex demographic challenges” and to overcome them it needs to have more children.

The Moscow Times writes about this with reference to the head’s speech during a meeting of the World Russian People’s Assembly.

Putin noted that even the presence of five children in a family is not a sign of having many children.

Thus, Russians “preserve the tradition of a strong, multi-generational family, where four, five or more children are raised,” the dictator said, but earlier, according to him, families had 7-8 children, and sometimes more. So this trend needs to be “revived”.

“Let’s preserve and revive these wonderful traditions. Having many children and a large family should become the norm, a way of life for all the peoples of Russia,” Putin called.

It is interesting that, according to the President of Russia, not everything is solved with money and additional payments. In particular, it is “impossible” to solve Russia’s demographic problems only with the help of money, benefits, and social assistance.

Meanwhile, as Ukrainian experts say, half of the “military” migrants will not return home because of the war – this is what the Institute of Demography believes. In particular, they warn: if there are now more than 6 million abroad, then we are talking about the potential loss of three. Ukraine now already has the lowest birth rate in Europe – 1.2 children.
