Pulmonologist named the symptom of the Indian strain of coronavirus
The Indian strain of the coronavirus, dubbed “Delta”, has been spreading rapidly around the world recently. Pulmonologist Alexei Nikishenkov told TASS what symptom may indicate that this particular mutation has entered the body.
According to the doctor, one of the symptoms of the Delta-type virus is an upset of the gastrointestinal tract: diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain. This manifestation joins the already familiar: cough, muscle pain and weakness.
The Delta version was first recorded in India in October 2020. There is also a more contagious variant of this mutation – the Delta Plus strain. Immunologists believe that Delta Plus is the most contagious strain of coronavirus. To infect a healthy person, it is enough to walk past the carrier of the infection.
