Jen Psaki
US President Joe Biden's press secretary Jen Psaki should apologize for commenting on space forces at the briefing. Such a demand was made by Republican Senator Mike Rogers, who criticized Psaki for the fact that instead of answering a question about the country's space forces, she spoke about a certain non-existent plane, reports Fox News.
A member of the House Armed Services Committee of the House of Representatives of Congress felt that Psaki insulted the military with her words. “It is disturbing to see how a spokesman for the Biden administration is clearly belittling an entire type of our military, presenting it as a witty joke that I am sure will amuse China,” he said, recalling that the creation of a new branch of the military was almost unanimous approved by the US Congress.
He stressed that Psaki should apologize for the “unworthy comment.” The press secretary has not yet reacted in any way to these words.
Earlier Jen Psaki was accused of disrespect for the US Armed Forces: instead of answering a question about the prospects of the US Space Force, the country's space forces, she spoke about a certain non-existent aircraft. “Wow, Space Force. This is the plane of today ”, – answered Psaki when asked about this type of troops and said that she did not know who the contact person of the White House was on this issue.
In December 2019, former US President Donald Trump officially announced the creation of a military space force in the country. Trump noted that the creation of a new branch of the armed forces was the largest investment in the United States army.
