The duration of postcoid syndrome in patients who have undergone coronavirus disease is about two months, said Denis Protsenko, chief physician of the capital's hospital No. 40 in Kommunarka.
“Analysis by age groups showed us that in patients under 60 years of age, as a rule, the average duration of the resolution of symptoms [postcoid syndrome] is about two months,” Protsenko quotes TASS.
According to him, in older people, the duration of the syndrome may increase.
He noted that 250 patients took part in the in-depth study.
Earlier, Denis Protsenko said that there is a decrease in the incidence of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in Russia.
