Protests over gas prices continue for the third day in Kazakhstan: there are detainees

In addition to lowering prices for liquefied gas, today the protesters also began to put forward political slogans.

In Kazakhstan, 2022 began with rallies in the cities of Zhanaozen and Aktau in the west of the country. Then they began to take to the streets in other cities.

The protest action in Zhanaozen began on January 2. On the first day, hundreds of local residents attended the rally. On January 3, over a thousand people gathered there. The protests continued today, January 4. On the square in Aktau, protesters set up tents and a yurt.
