Protests in Tbilisi: Georgian President Claims Total Falsification (Video)

by alex

People took to the streets to deny the victory of the pro-Russian party of a local oligarch in the parliamentary elections.

Thousands of people gathered outside the Georgian parliament in Tbilisi to protest the announced results of the parliamentary elections.

This is evidenced by video from the scene.

Several thousand people took part in the rally. During her speech to the demonstrators, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili called the vote “Russian” and “totally falsified.”

She and the opposition parties do not recognize the election results, stating that the pro-Russian Georgian Dream “stole” them.

Recall that in addition to the pro-government Georgian Dream party, the following are officially elected to the Georgian parliament: four opposition forces that hoped to create a coalition together.
