The protesters gave Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-Ocha three days to resign. RIA Novosti writes about it.
Members of the Free Youth movement wrote a letter of resignation on behalf of the Prime Minister and handed it over to the head of the Bangkok City Police Department. The demonstrators want the paper to be sent to the prime minister's office. The document says that Prayut Chan-Ocha abused his power, pushed through the constitution and used the monarchy “as an excuse to maintain power.”
The protesters promise to end the demonstrations if the prime minister signs the document within three days. If he does not, people will return to the Thai Government House complex again.
On October 15, tens of thousands of people attended a protest in the center of Bangkok, despite the ban of the authorities: they introduced a state of emergency. In addition, the police then detained the main leaders of the demonstrations, members of the People's Party movement. The demonstrators are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-Och and his supporters from power and a change in the constitution.
