The surveillance camera footage shows that this was a deliberate and conscious act.

On Friday, January 31, a fire broke out in a Ukrainian restaurant called Slava Ukraina in the Estonian capital of Tallinn. Police suspect arson.

This was reported by the Estonian public broadcaster ERR.

According to the press secretary of the Police and Border Guard Board, Britt Sepp, the fire was reported at about 5 a.m.

“According to preliminary information, it could have been arson. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated as part of a criminal case under the article on damage and destruction of property. This is a preliminary legal assessment, since evidence is being collected,” she noted.

A fire alarm went off in the building, rescuers arrived promptly and quickly extinguished the fire.

The fire was only on the first floor building, but the smoke spread to the second floor, where the hotel is located. One person was rescued from the hotel room and was immediately examined by doctors.

Restaurant owner Mart Luik said that surveillance footage shows that it was a deliberate and conscious act.

“The police have a video recording. We hope they will catch the organizer. It looks like there was an action directed against Ukraine,” he said.

The restaurant's social networks reported that the establishment had temporarily closed its doors.

Recall that near Kiev, an 18-year-old guy set fire to a relay cabinet on the railway at the request of curators from Russia. The event occurred near the village of Klavdievo-Tarasovo.
