Scientists at the University of California's Institute for Global Health Sciences have named occupations with the highest risk of death from coronavirus. Writes about this “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
So, the most vulnerable group after doctors, were workers of food enterprises and agriculture. Compared with the usual mortality rate, they have this figure increased by 39 percent. Next come the transport and logistics workers. Among them, the death rate rose by 28 percent.
The third group included people who work in manufacturing enterprises – 27 percent, as well as specialists in the manufacturing industry. The increase in mortality among them increased by 23 percent.
Scientists obtained such research results when analyzing personal data of COVID-19 patients in California from March to October 2020. In total, during this period, the mortality rate in the region increased by 22 percent.
In December, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that in Russia, the highest incidence of coronavirus was among workers at industrial enterprises. She pointed out that enterprises should take additional efforts to organize labor safety.
