The situation in Melitopol is now quite difficult. This was announced on the air of the nationwide telethon by the mayor of the city Ivan Fedorov.
According to him, on the one hand, the Russian Federation with its troops and self-proclaimed “rule” in Melitopol they don't deal with people's problems.
They only take money from businessmen and take over business. The Russian military understands that they came to Melitopol for a short time, so they are doing it.
— On the other hand, the residents who have remained in the city (according to our estimates, this is about 80 thousand), have big problems with the supply of food, medicine, and fuel. And, of course, a big problem with the payment of cash. This is especially true for pensioners who have not yet received payments for March,” he explained.
Ivan Fedorov also added that now the authorities are working to organize a humanitarian corridor to Melitopol in order to deliver the city with basic necessities and take people out of there. But so far, the Russian Federation has not confirmed the green corridor.
In addition, Fedorov said that today the Russian invaders intimidate the local population and even kidnap people without any explanation.
