Peter Pellegrini will become the new president of Slovakia.
In the presidential elections Slovakia in the second round, the pro-government candidate Peter Pellegrini, who currently heads the country's parliament, wins.
This is reported by Dennikn.sk with a link to the results of the vote count.
His main opponent, former Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok, has already admitted defeat and congratulated Pellegrini.
After 96% of the votes have been counted, Peter Pellegrini wins. He scores 54.32% while his opponent scores 45.67%.
Peter Pellegrini is an ally of the current Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and takes an anti-Ukrainian position.
Recall that it was previously reported that the Slovak Prime Minister says that he will not change his mind about the war in Ukraine, despite the tension with the Czech Republic.< /p>
