The authorities of the Tula region, within the framework of the Year of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation, have established awards in the amount of 60 thousand rubles, which, based on the results of a competitive selection, will be awarded to 40 young scientists. This was announced on Wednesday by the press service of the regional government.
“The government of the Tula region will allocate awards in the amount of 60 thousand rubles to support young scientists of the region. Postgraduates, doctors of science, as well as employees of higher educational institutions and industrial enterprises will be able to take part in the competition. A prerequisite for all participants is that scientific activities must be carried out on the territory Tula region “, – said in a message on the website of the regional government.
In the text of the resolution of the regional government on the establishment of the prize, signed on September 29, it is noted that a total of 40 prizes will be provided in the amount of 60 thousand rubles each. “In his message, Governor Alexei Dyumin set the task of making the Tula region a region of great science and attractive for leading scientists. Prizes for young scientists are an excellent incentive for their further work,” the press service quotes the chairman of the regional committee for science and innovation Anton Emelianenko.
The competitive selection will take into account such indicators as the relevance of research, their novelty and significance for science, potential for practical application. Young scientists with the highest number of points will be able to apply for the award. It is planned to sum up the results of the competition at the end of November 2021.
