Priority of targets: Zhdanov explained why the drones were flying over St. Petersburg

On February 28, the “Carpet” plan was introduced over St. Petersburg, the Pulkovo airport was closed, and all aircraft began to deploy. Allegedly, this happened because of an unknown flying object, which was noticed 160-200 kilometers from St. Petersburg.

According to military expert Oleg Zhdanov, due to the closure of the sky over St. Petersburg, even the plane of the President of Russia was returned to Moscow. He told Channel 24 about this.

Get to Moscow

He added that the “pop” also happened in Adygea, where an unknown aircraft crashed. And in the city of Tuapse in the Krasnodar Territory, a large-scale fire broke out at night.

Western media report that all this was done by Ukrainian drones. Moreover, they seem to be Ukrainian-made. They noted that it could be an old Soviet Tu-141 Reis drone, redesigned into a cruise missile with a range of up to 1,000 kilometers. – said the expert.

In his opinion, the drones flew precisely to these places, because priority targets are located there – most likely, these are military facilities or those that affect the course of hostilities.

The expert noted that in Adygea it was possible to get into the oil depot, which provides fuel for the Russian group fighting on the territory of Ukraine. And in St. Petersburg there are many training centers – from artillery specialists to radio electronics specialists.

“And drones will definitely get to Moscow – it's a matter of time. Not for nothing in Russia, namely in Moscow, they installed air defense systems on the roofs of houses,” Oleg Zhdanov is sure.

Drone attacks in Russia: what is known

Even the Russians themselves do not believe these statements. After all, the destruction as a result of the attack is serious.
  • On February 28, the drone was allegedly spotted in the Kolomensky district of the Moscow region. The object was discovered a few meters from the territory of the gas compressor station, a facility owned by Gazprom.
