Prince Andrew will testify under oath in the case of the rape of a minor

The plaintiff claims that the Duke of York allegedly raped her three times in 2001.

Prince Andrew, the second son of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of York, will testify under oath next month in a civil sexual harassment case.

This is reported by the Daily Telegraph.

It is noted that the interrogation of the monarch will take place on March 10 in a “neutral place” in London. According to the publication, both sides agreed on the date after a number of disputes about the schedule.

“The Duke of York will be forced to make a sworn statement to lawyers representing Virginia Giuffre, who will fly from the United States to personally interrogate Andrew,” the material says.

Recall that the American Giuffre is suing the Duke in New York. The plaintiff claims that as a teenager she was sold to the monarch through the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison in 2019, and Andrew’s friend from Oxford Ghislaine Maxwell.

The prince allegedly raped 17-year-old Giuffre three times in London, New York and on Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean.

It is expected that the plaintiff’s defenders David Boyce and Sigrid McCauley will interrogate the son of Elizabeth II for two days, after which they will talk with Shukri Walker, who claims that she saw the Duke and Giuffre in a restaurant in March 2001, and with the prince’s ex-assistant Robert Ashton Olney.

The 80-year-old Boyce, who has a reputation as the “largest collector of testimony” in modern American justice, said he was looking forward to a “confrontation” with the duke.
