The head of the Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko stated that during the elections in the country, international observers “monitor the electoral process in all regions.”
Recall that on December 24, 2024, the Central Election Commission of Belarus registered five candidates for the presidential election.
Lukashenko stated that he is not trying to hold on to his post. He said that he is ready to pass it on to the new generation.
Lukashenko also expressed hope that he will be able to live under the new government for a while longer.
“My children will live. I want to see how they will live. Mine are not only my children. My children are these. I want to see how they will live. This is my goal,” Lukashenko said, adding that he has a big advantage over other candidates, that he “is not trying to hold on to power by force.”
