Nicholas Maduro
Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro, previously vaccinated against the coronavirus with the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, spoke about his health. His words are quoted by TASS.
According to him, he has not had any serious side effects and is doing well.
“I felt good. Usually, any vaccine can have some side effects: fever, some kind of malaise. Some have more, some have less. On the first day I had only a little sleepiness. Now I feel 100 percent, ”Maduro said.
He joked that now he can “speak excellent Russian”. Maduro will receive the second dose of the vaccine on March 26.
Maduro was vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine on Saturday, March 6. Prior to that, he called the Russian coronavirus vaccine the safest in the world, since the drug shows a high level of body protection.
Earlier it was reported that 72-year-old Juan Carlos Gasparini, the mayor of the Argentinean city of Roque Perez, was vaccinated against the coronavirus with a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin in his hands.
Sputnik V is the first registered Russian vaccine against coronavirus, it was created on the basis of adenovirus, in which the coronavirus gene is embedded. When it enters cells, it forms proteins in them – they cause immunity and promote the development of antibodies.
