President for the first time in history awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to a woman

President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to eight Ukrainians, six of whom received this title posthumously.

As follows from the relevant presidential decrees, Volodymyr Zelensky announced more than 100 more awards for servicemen who defended the fatherland from the occupying forces of the Russian Federation.

“For personal courage and heroism shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, I decree loyalty to the military oath,” the decree says at the beginning.

The President conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star:

  1. Vasich Sergey Viktorovich – senior sergeant (posthumously)
  2. Derusova Inna Nikolaevna – sergeant (posthumously)
  3. Mrochka Konstantin Vasilyevich – soldier (posthumously)
  4. Parkhomuk Vitaly Vasilievich – senior soldier (posthumously)
  5. Svinchuk Oleg Anatolyevich – soldier (posthumously)
  6. Khanin Andrei Pavlovich – sergeant (posthumously)

Volodymyr Zelensky conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Order of the Golden Star:

  1. Hutsul Vladimir Alexandrovich – Senior Lieutenant
  2. Cherny Vladimir Vladimirovich – senior lieutenant.

The Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky II degree was awarded to:

  1. Zhuk Sergey Vladimirovich – lieutenant colonel
  2. Ostapenko Oleg Vladimirovich – lieutenant colonel

The President awarded the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky III degree:
