An explosion occurred at the Azerbaijanfilm studio in the capital of Azerbaijan – the pyrotechnic zone caught fire. Rescuers are working at the scene.

On June 26, a powerful explosion thundered in the center of the capital of Azerbaijan – the pyrotechnic zone of the film studio “Azerbaijanfilm” named after Jafar Jabbarly caught fire. Rescuers quickly localized the fire that broke out after the explosion.
Film studio pyrotechnic zone explodes in Azerbaijani capital
According to local media, the explosion occurred at the studio's old pyrotechnic site while equipment was being stored or used for filming. Firefighters and medics arrived at the scene immediately after the incident.

According to preliminary data, there is no information about the dead or injured. Local residents said that at first they thought it was fireworks, but the sound was single and very powerful, after which a bright light appeared over the area.
The incident occurred in the Yasamal district of Baku. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that due to prompt actions the fire was quickly localized, and its final extinguishing is currently underway.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also noted that the information disseminated by some media about the explosion at the Alov plant does not correspond to reality.
