Radio RMF FM: a powerful explosion occurred at the Polish factory NitroErg, the building was destroyed

A powerful explosion occurred at the NitroErg dynamite and explosives factory in Poland's Krupski Mlyn in the Silesian Voivodeship, radio station RMF FM reports.

“There was an explosion at the NitroErg explosives factory. As a result of the explosion, one of the buildings on the territory of the plant was destroyed,” the radio reported.

According to eyewitnesses, the explosion was heard within a radius of many kilometers, within 20 kilometers the blast wave touched window panes. There is no information about the victims, two people were declared missing at the factory. Firefighters were sent to the scene, and medical helicopters were used to evacuate the wounded.

On February 2, in the city of Frankfurt am Main in southwestern Germany, a hazardous chemical, oleum, leaked from a factory. Due to the wind, oleum evaporation headed towards the cities of Kelsterbach and Schweinheim.

On January 5, in the city of Svobodny in the Amur Region, an explosion occurred at a gas processing plant. According to the press service of the Russian company, “a local fire of gas at one of the installations occurred at the facility during commissioning under load.” No harm done.
