An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 occurred on the Armenian-Georgian border zone, a video of powerful tremors was published on the Newsach/Dvach Telegram channel.

According to Sputnik Georgia, residents of the capital of Georgia felt the fluctuations of the earth's crust at 22:25 local time (21:25 Moscow time). The tremors were also felt in Armenia, where the magnitude was 5. In Azerbaijan, the magnitude of the tremors was slightly less – 3.5. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
Ilya State University in Tbilisi reported that the epicenter of the tremors was located in Armenia, on the border with Georgia. According to scientists, the tremors were felt in Yerevan, Tbilisi and Azerbaijan.
Earlier it became known that the strongest earthquakes in Russia in 2022 are expected in Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands.
