On the night and morning of July 27, residents of Ryazan witnessed the attack of attack drones on the military airfield “Dyagilevo” and an oil refinery. It was also restless late in the evening of July 26 in the Bryansk region.
Local residents saw and heard, how Russian air defense shot down drones as they approached the oil refinery and the Dyagilevo military airfield. Footage of smoke over the city is being published online.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that at about 07:00 a.m. local time, a missile was detected over the territory Ryazan region their air defense allegedly shot down seven Ukrainian drones.
Local authorities assure that there were no casualties during the attack. There are no reports of possible damage to objects.
Later, the Telegram channel Astra reported that the drone debris fell in Ryazan near the shopping center “M5 Mall”, the windows of a parked car are broken.
Dyagilevo Air Base in Ryazan
It is known that the 43rd Center for Combat Use and Retraining of Flight Personnel is stationed at the Dyagilevo airfield in Ryazan. In particular, there are Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3, Tu-134UBL bombers and an Il-78 tanker. The 360th Aircraft Repair Plant is located near the airfield.
