Impeachment against the current US President Donald Trump may take place on January 12 or 13. Such terms were named by Democratic Congressman James Clyburn on the air of CNN, reports TASS.
According to him, articles for impeachment will be drawn up on Monday, January 11.
“It could be Tuesday or Wednesday before they are actually introduced, but I think they will be prepared this week,” Cliburn said.
Earlier, Democrats in Congress began preparations to impeach Trump. Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi has instructed the by-laws committee to be ready to initiate impeachment proceedings against the president. Members of the lower house of Congress are hoping for Trump to step down immediately, she said, but they will use whatever option they can to remove him.
