Just over a week ago, Valve announced their first handheld console, the Steam Deck. At the same time, many a question arose: how many games out of the total number of projects presented in the online store, the device will be able to launch?
The engineers of the IT giant undertook to shed light on this issue. As part of an interview given to IGN, they said that the device was originally designed with an eye to launching Steam projects at 30 frames per second.
Moreover, Valve representatives clarified that, as part of Deck testing, they did not manage to find a project that would not run on the console. In this case, we are talking about launching with a comfortable frame rate.
Recall that the first Steam Deck buyers who managed to pre-order at the very start will receive the device in December 2021. The rest are forced to wait for deliveries in the second and third quarters of 2022.
