The “Delta Plus” variant of coronavirus infection has not yet spread in Russia, and the so-called “epsilon” strain (“American” variant) has not yet been detected. The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova told about this.
According to her, so far only one case of Delta Plus has been registered in Russia. It was revealed in April this year.
“The woman, who, as it turned out later, was infected with this virus, was simply undergoing routine testing before hospitalization. There was nothing like that, she had a completely different diagnosis, he stayed with her. She lives happily. Such an accidental find. So far, there are no other cases of delta plus detection in Russia, ”said the head of Rospotrebnadzor in an interview with Naila Asker-zade on the Russia 24 TV channel.
Popova also said that today scientists admit the possibility of the manifestation of the Delta strain in hot weather, but at the moment this is just a hypothesis.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor also advised not to wait for certain signs. According to her, every ailment is a significant reason to see a doctor. “We see cases of rapid development of the“ clinic ”. Everyone carries the virus differently. This is his cunning. There is no need to wait how to tell the difference, you need to immediately consult a doctor who will figure it out, ”she said.
