Popova said vaccinated people do not spread coronavirus
The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that a person who has been vaccinated against coronavirus does not spread the infection.
“A vaccinated person does not spread the virus. If these are some exceptional cases, yes, maybe, but this is a completely separate story,” she said in an interview with Naila Asker-zade on the Russia 24 TV channel.
Earlier, Popova named the category of people most vulnerable to coronavirus.
Russia became the first country in the world to register a vaccine against COVID-19. The drug was developed by NITsEM named after Gamaleya jointly with the Russian Direct Investment Fund and was named “Sputnik V”. At the moment, three vaccines against coronavirus have been registered in the country: Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona and KoviVac.
