The policy of the administration of US President Donald Trump towards Russia was the toughest in history. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo wrote about this on his Twitter page.
He offered to look at the actions in relation to Moscow, discarding all unnecessary. “No administration has been as tough on Russia as we are. That's all. Dot. Look at the facts, ”the Secretary of State wrote. He also attached to the post a photo of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the words “Russia, Russia, Russia!”
Earlier, Trump also drew attention to the phrase “Russia, Russia, Russia.” He noted that this is “the first chant as soon as something happens.” At the same time, he himself used it when he spoke about doubts about Moscow's involvement in a large-scale cyber attack on the computer systems of the American authorities.
At the end of December, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that Russophobia in the United States is one of the key factors in the internal political struggle.
Prior to this, Pompeo said that Russia is on the list of America's enemies. At the same time, he noted that he considers China to be a more important, “existential” threat to the United States.
