Karol Nawrocki is a historian and Doctor of Humanities. Since 2021, he has been the head of the Institute of National Remembrance of Poland. He is known for initiating the demolition of monuments in honor of Soviet soldiers.

MPs from the ruling Civic Coalition party are demanding that law enforcement agencies verify the information contained in the published dossier on presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki, which talks about his possible ties to criminal structures in his native Gdansk.

Nawrocki responded to this during a meeting with voters in Lublin, Polska Agencja Prasowa reports.

“My whole life is connected with very specific topics, and since the last week it has become known what kind of person I really am,” he noted. Nawrocki.

He recalled his achievements, noting that he is a doctor of humanities, has headed the Institute of National Remembrance for three years and has represented the Polish state on the international arena for many years.

The candidate criticized his political opponents, in particular Rafal Trzaskowski, a candidate from the Civic Coalition, and Donald Tusk, the head of the Civic Platform party.

Nawrocki said that he would not trust Tusk to even look after his hamster, and Trzaskowski, whom he called “Rafał from the town hall”, does not correspond to his ideas about an effective mayor of Warsaw.

Regarding the information in the dossier about his possible connections, Nawrocki categorically denied the accusations.

Recall that earlier Karol Nawrocki called Galicia “Eastern Malopolska”. In his publication, the head of the Polish Institute of National Remembrance strangely reacted to the decision of his Ukrainian colleagues to begin exhuming the victims of the Volyn tragedy.
