Law enforcement officers said that Polish farmers organizing protests stopped three Ukrainian trucks and poured grain from them onto the road.
“After completing the paperwork, three trucks driven by Ukrainian citizens entered Poland. The protesters did not allow the transport to pass and at some point opened the trailers, causing grain to partially spill onto the road. The drivers turned back to the side Ukraine,” said a representative of the city’s main department. Chelm police Eva Chizh.
She stated that there were no fights or other dangerous situations.
“We are conducting a check, establishing the details of the people involved in the incident, interviewing witnesses,” she said.
It is reported that the police are clarifying the details of the incident and seizing evidence on the spot, after which the materials will be delivered to the prosecutor's office for criminal and legal examination.
