A Ukrainian diplomat called the actions of farmers at the border a “shameful and offensive crime for Ukrainians and most Poles.”

Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasily Zvarych called the actions of Polish farmers who spilled grain from Ukrainian trucks a “moral provocation.”

The ambassador wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“After receiving information about grain spilled by Polish farmers from Ukrainian shooting ranges, which were sealed after the corresponding customs procedures and were in transit to Lithuania, the Embassy and Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin immediately contacted the Polish police with a demand to open a case into this shameful crime,” the diplomat said.

According to him, the Polish police opened proceedings and began the necessary procedures.

Zvarych added that Ukrainian diplomats are in direct contact with truck drivers.

“Such methods of protesters should not be tolerated in a civilized European country, not to mention the moral side of this provocation. Therefore, we demand that those responsible be found and brought to justice. The Polish authorities must react decisively in the legal field to this a shameful and offensive crime for Ukrainians and the majority of Poles and such barbaric actions will not be allowed in the future,” he emphasized.

Recall that yesterday a video appeared on the Internet of Polish protesters at the border pouring grain out of Ukrainian trucks. The actions of the Poles outraged the Ukrainians.
