The protesters intend to continue the blockade until March 8.
On Monday, December 18, Polish carriers are going to resume the blockade of the checkpoint ” Yagodin – Dorogusk” on the border with Ukraine and threaten that the closure will continue until spring.
One of the protest leaders Pavel Ozygala reported this to the Polish publication RMF24.
According to him, the protesters intend to continue the blockade until March 8.
Ukrainian drivers are outraged by this situation. They propose to let them out of Poland, and then not let them in.
Polish drivers are in an identical situation on the other side of the border. In addition, they complain that they are expelled from the electronic queue system. The abolition of this electronic queue is one of the demands of Polish carriers.
Currently there are more than 2 thousand Ukrainian trucks in line at the border on the Polish side. Since about 650 trucks can pass through the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint per day, during the upcoming protest the queue will double.
The line in Doroguska stretched for 70 kilometers and reached the town of Piaski, Świdnica County. Registration waiting time is approximately 100 hours.
Meanwhile, the queue for the crossing from Ukraine to Grebennoye is 30 km long and there are about 500 trucks there. Waiting time for check-in is 125 hours.
Recall that the district court in Lublin in Poland allowed carriers to resume their protest on the border with Ukraine at the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint after local authorities banned it.
