Prime Minister of Moldova Gavrilitsa: policy towards Russia is smart, calm and balanced

Prime Minister of Moldova Natalia Gavrilitsa, on the air of the Moldova-1 TV channel, assessed the policy of Chisinau towards Russia. According to her, in a difficult situation and difficulties in the region, she remains balanced and calm, RIA Novosti reports.
The prime minister drew attention to the tension on the border between Russia and Ukraine, as well as what is happening on the energy market, and stressed that, at the same time, the Moldovan policy is not timid.
“We are a small country in a very difficult region, and I would call our policy smart. We are promoting a calm, balanced policy, ”concluded Gavrilitsa.
Earlier, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that the republic could become a part of the European Union, but she seeks to maintain constructive relations with Russia. She added that much depends on the situation in the region, since the republic needs peace and quiet for its development.
