In Greece, days after the country's worst rail accident, protests intensified. Thousands of students took to the streets of several cities with demonstrations. Clashes erupted between some protesters and police.

In general, the rallies were peaceful. However, in Athens, security forces near the parliament used tear gas and flash grenades to disperse protesters who threw petrol bombs at them and set garbage cans on fire. Clashes also took place in Thessaloniki. There is no information about the detained or injured yet.
