In Paris, the police shot dead a man who attacked them with a knife at the Gare du Nord. It is reported by BBC News.

According to the publication, the attacker attacked law enforcement officers patrolling the station. An anti-police inscription was found on his thirty-centimeter-long knife. It is noted that none of the law enforcement officers were injured.

French authorities said the incident was not terrorism-related. “The police used their firearms, thereby eliminating all danger for themselves and for travelers,” said Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin.

Earlier it was reported that a powerful explosion in the groceries of the city of Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salank in southern France claimed the lives of seven people, including two children. Due to the incident, 11 apartments located in the same building as the store were destroyed. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
