The police launched two criminal proceedings on the fact of attacking journalists of the Ukrayinska Pravda publication. This is discussed on the website of the National Police.
The event is qualified as threats or violence against journalists and obstruction of their professional activities.
It is noted that the incident occurred on February 13 in the city of Dnipro on the territory of the airport. The conflict arose between a group of people and journalists from the publication Ukrainska Pravda.
“On this fact, criminal proceedings have been launched under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: obstruction of the professional activities of journalists (Article 171 of the Criminal Code) and threats or violence against journalists (Article 345-1 of the Criminal Code), the press service noted.
The police are collecting information about the circumstances of the incident, as well as conducting priority investigative actions.
On Sunday, in Dnipro, unknown persons attacked the film crew of Mikhail Tkach, head of the Department of Journalistic Investigations of the UP.
The incident happened around 3:00 p.m. near the airport's VIP terminal. The film crew of the publication was attacked. According to Tkach, unknown persons, threatening with a knife, took the phone from the operator and demanded a password in order to delete the video.
