Police find missing blind dog and return it to owner

by alex

Italian police returned a dog named Bianca to its owner after finding it in Piazza Appio in Rome. It turned out that the animal, blind in one eye, roamed the streets in fear. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Roman police.

Police found the dog while patrolling the city and came to the square to check compliance with anti-coronavirus measures. There, they noticed an animal wandering without a leash and realized that she had vision problems. Law enforcement officers, worried that the pet might get hit by a car, took it with them.

Soon the police saw a special chip on Bianca's collar, with which they tracked her owner. It turned out to be a 39-year-old local resident who had already started searching for the animal. After meeting the dog, the Italian hugged her and thanked the police for their work.

Earlier in January, it was reported that a dog named Roxy, missing in 2013, had returned to its owners in the UK. Its owner Magdalena Klubchuk thought that the pet was hit by a car. However, on New Year's Eve, the police noticed Roxy on one of the streets of Buckley and, having scanned the microchip, found out the contacts of the owners. Klubchuk temporarily left the animal with a friend and plans to take it to her in the near future.
