The President of Kazakhstan has declared a state of emergency in the largest city of the country.
During the gas protests that began in Kazakhstan due to the rise in prices for liquefied gas, protesters clashed with law enforcement officers in the country's largest city, Almaty, during which police cars were burning and shots were fired in response.
According to the Telegrsm-channel KazTAG, several police cars caught fire in Almaty, one of them exploded.
