Griffiths
Scottish professional footballer Leigh Griffiths has been targeted by the police. The reason for this is a smoke bomb scandal.
Griffiths had kicked a smoke bomb lying on the grass back into the guest sector during the league cup game of his Dundee FC against St. Johnstone (0-2). The Scottish team player has now been charged by the police with “culpable and reckless behavior”.
Fortunately, spectators were not injured when the smoke bomb kicked back on the fan stand.
The 31-year-old professional soccer player apologized for the incident on Thursday. He just wanted to get the smoke bomb off the pitch as quickly as possible in order to be able to continue the game.
In addition to being charged, Griffiths faces a penalty from the Scottish Football Association.
