Poland's ambassador calls on Germany to weaken Russia

by alex

Polish Ambassador to Berlin Andrzej Przylembski called on Germany to weaken Russia. He is quoted by RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland.

According to him, Warsaw is primarily concerned about the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline: it will allegedly allow Russia to modernize the army with the money that Europe “provides”. Instead, the Europeans should weaken Moscow, Pshilembski said.

The diplomat admitted that at the same time in Poland they love the Russians, but they are “ready to fight them” if necessary. Warsaw has allegedly felt the threat from Moscow and Berlin for centuries and wants to protect itself.

Przylembski concluded that the Polish authorities decided not to buy Russian gas from the end of 2022. In order to become energetically independent from Russia, the country is going to complete the construction of the Baltic pipeline from Norway and buy liquefied natural gas.

On March 17, Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk called Berlin's assistance in returning Crimea to her responsibility for the occupation of the country during the Great Patriotic War. According to him, Germany is responsible for millions of killed Ukrainians, including during ethnic cleansing on the peninsula.
